I heard a great definition of design once... "Creating order from chaos".
This poster hangs next to my desk and reminds me to honor informational hierarchy and keep things simple. As artists it's easy to constantly critique your work during the process. When you have 40 states of "undo" it's difficult to be decisive. A visual reminder of the function of design has helped me b a better artist with a healthier life/work balance.
