Let's Make a Movie
It's Saturday morning. My daugther and her cousins wake up and immdeiately bury their faces in various devices. Determined to prevent them from becoming all-day screen-zombies, I confiscated their electronics and put my nephew to work on some storyboards. In 15 minutes we had a story and a production plan. Time to get to work.
Shot entirely on a flip camera, these kids framed the shots, edited the footage, wrote the titles and even helped with some of the VFX. I took a back seat and was hands-off as possible. It was such a blast to see each person contribute to every step of the process.

The Next Day
I hoped that by introducing them to the production process they'd be inspired to make more videos... without my help.
It worked. The next day they made their own production "Nerf Spec Ops". Scroll down to check it out.

Nerf Spec Ops
This one was 100% kid-made. Big ups to my nephew Tyler Germaine for coming up with the story and directing the thing.
Definitely the coolest 11 year old I know.
